Calibration and Repair
Osensa Innovations does repair and Calibration of products that they sold.
A RMA form is issued after customer provide the model number and serial numbers requested.
For Calibration, Osensa offers SI Traceable calibrations.
Probes are calibrated in Metrology Wells.
Additional Calibrations can be done in specific liquids at specific temperatures with specific soak times to simulate how a probe is in a biological or chemical application for additional costs.
Additional Calibration Points can be added for additional charges.
Typical calibration cycles are once a year.
Three Types of Calibration Available
- 1) Factory with Test Report- included in normal probe price for new orders.
- 2) Factory Calibration, Test report with Calibration Certificate as required by the QA systems for many companies QA systems.
- 3) Osensa Innovations Calibrates the system (including temperature transmitter) at the factory. The system is then sent to a local 3rd party ISO-17025 Test Lab ( Usually Millers Instruments, LTD) . A report is issued. This is typically used for devices requiring FDA submissions.
Repairs
- 1) If probes repaires are required, provide us a list of the probes with description of the issues, part numbers (or model numbers) and serial numbers.
- 2) An RMA is issued by Osensa for probes to be returned for repair. Repair will proceed after a purchase order is received.
- 3) Probes are sent back for repairs after Osensa provides a RMA and a purchase order is received.
- 4) Cost of repair is typically at 50% of the current purchase.
Please note that if the repair requires a probe tip replacement or the fiber is broken, the new tip will be installed between the connector and the remaining good fiber. The repaired probe may be shorter so please indicate a minimum length after repair.
If a calibration certificate or ISO-17025 calibration is required, please advise.
